again, its not the block that is the weakest link. actually far from. and sleaves arent gonna do much to improve it.

 

sleeves will stop the block from warping

 

keep telling yourself that. Been running large displacement moters for years without sleeves with well over 30 psi and no block warping. although if you let the moter get over like 500 degrees, I'm sure you will have a prob them.

 

Yea no reason for sleeves, even the guys making 500whp don't run sleeves. I highly doubt anybody even makes sleeves for these. Look on vwvortex in the technical 1.8t section and read up There you will see the ppl running high boost for long periods of time. No offence but I think you are uneducated when it comes to the 1.8 motor.

 

When my car will be done I will tell you how long it will be running on 450 HP. My friend was running 384 HP on stock internals for 1 year, but this year he upgraded turbo (over 400 HP), the old one was sold and still running strong , so I can not tell you how long it will run. But 1 year for sure
