Default K&N Question...

several months ago i had a little maf problem due to the oil from the k&n but i cleaned it and have been perfect since, however, is oiling fully neccessary for the filter? what if you don't oil it at all? and if it is neccessary, is there anyway to play it more on the safe side to avoid maf problems?.. it wasn't too difficult to clean it last time but i'd like to avoid possibly fouling the whole thing if i can...

buy a new filter everytime you change it if you are lazy. Its only 50 dollars... you are an audi owner, you're rich what does it matter?
