What comes with it? How much is it? What should be upgraded along wit your turbo to keep stuff running smoothly? I've read some past posts but there is so many damn acronyms I got no clue as to what the hell is bein said.

its recommened to have a front mount intercooler, diverter valve, and exhaust. the kit usually sells for 1600 but can be had fro cheaper to buy it from someone.

 

a FMIC (Front Mount Intercooler) is not necessary for the K04 unless you get the PC-16 file. Which is basically a more aggressive chip. This also requires bigger injectors.

Baciscally what comes with the kit is listed on AWETunings website. You could part it together for cheaper I would assume.

The K04 will spool fast and give some great low end torque. If you are going to go this route and stay it, I would also reccomend getting a V6 (2.8L) transmission. This will keep your RPMS in the K04's power range longer.

sounds like quite a task. Thanks for the reply's I'll keep those in mind.......right now I'm just gunna get the APR chip and then get timing belt changed which is coming up soon......

 

Get a giac chip if u ever plan on ko4, apr does not have software for you.

 

Yep, listen to above advice. GIAC is def way to go if you plan on doing the KO4 sometime in the future.

 

That $1699 icurrent AWE kit is a "little" overpriced... k04 now days should be around $700 shipped, install kit $40, plugs $20, 5bar FPR $80, K04 GIAC chip (same as in their kit) they do sell separately $400... Savings of $400+ you can put toward exhaust
