Default K04 vs Chipped

Here is what I'm looking at doing and need some advice. I would like to spend $2000-$2500 on some performance parts. I need the car to still be reliable as it is my daily driver. I was looking at getting it chipped, a cat-back exhaust and FMIC. Or going the route of a K04 and yes I know I need a chip for the K04. How much performance/HP difference would I see with the K04 verses chipped? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Update: Forgot to mention the car is a 2002 1.8T manual w/quattro

I have the sport package and the only other thing i plan on duing to the suspension is better sway bars. This mod is not in this buget, I was already pretty set on getting better sway bars. Thanks for the suggestion

Thats what I was thinking. Start with stage1+ then move up to the K04. Anyone know how much HP would the K04 add to stage1+? Thanks for the suggestion

here are some numbers with GIAC
http://giacusa.com/programs.php?mpid=3
GIAC performance software for the 2002 - 2005 B6 A4® 1.8T smoothly delivers a 30-38 hp and 55-60 ft-lbs gain.

GIAC offers two additional performance options to take greater advantage of some common bolt on hardware upgrades on the B6 A4 1.8t. The FXK03 and FXK04 chips are specifically designed to accommodate GIAC approved 36 lb injectors. This is an ideal upgrade for cars with exhaust, intake and, in the case of the FXK04, the K04 turbo. The FXK03 setup can yield up to 70 – 80 ft-lbs and 40-50 hp gains, while the proper FXK04 setup will allow another 15-20 ft-lbs and 18-28 hp over the FXK03.
and revo BI are about the same numbers
and their K04 claims 255hp/310tq
