Default ko4 fmic relief

i had been reading old threads on how ppl talked about just running ko4 with programming and all with no fmic because of the lack of money. well i know everyone has seen the complete fmic on ebay but the kit, imho, looks worthy enough to be tried out with a ko4. check it out-FMICand with a 3 year warranty, if the construction is some bs then im sure it can be returned. many ppl tried the ebay short shifters and they worked out great why not try the ebay fmic?

All I can say is good luck. I would suggest trying to find a nice used FMIC if you're trying to save some cash.

Efficiency is the second part of a FMIC.

The FMIC has to transfer heat out, while not impeding the flow of air through the cooler. There is a lot of engineering that goes into the design of an intercooler to maximize heat transfer and minimize pressure loss. I doubt that an ebay cheapy has done much design testing to get it right.

I don't know if that is necessarily true... maybe they did come up with a fairly decent core design, and they are just re-using it for like 50 vehicles, so it gets rather cheap. I wouldn't expect beautiful welds or anything... but I doubt if it's complete garbage. Spend the money on a good FMIC for our cars, though... because fitment issues are common with us, even ones that are designed for A4's require cutting. Imagine just throwing any old FMIC on the car? Haha, who knows... might need to get a new bumper.
