Default Launching a CVT

Does anybody have an idea on how to launch a CVT A4.

Do I keep it in Nuetral rev and than put into gear?
Just floor it from idle?
Push brakes with gas and release brakes?
Launch in manual mode switch to automode after finishing the first gear?

Any help appritiated. My 0-60 sucks I am trying to find out if there is something wrong or I am doing something wrong.

2002 1.8T CVT with APR stage1

thanks

Serkan

Yeah what I am really wondering is. If you look at stock 0-60 times for this car it is 7.2secs. But my car is 8.1 with APR Stage 1 and an extra person. I got this number by just flooring it idle (no wheel spin)

My intension is not to race but understand if there is something wrong with my car or transmission that is causing the car to be slow.

P.S. I don't have a boost leak.

im guess when they test they dont care wut happens to the car so they probly do drag launch it
they just want to get the best number they dont care if they blow the tranny or damage the car

but how did u check the times with a stop watch
stop it when the needle gets to 60
or something casue thats not that accruate u kno

when they do it they use special equipment to measure 0-60s

I used a gtech.

After my car I tested a 3.28i it was exactly at the factory spec. Thats why I will assume Gtech reading was accurate...
