Lights, HID, etc
If you're looking for the blueist light possible. Go with the highest color temp. 10k or 12k.
However, you sacrifice light output the more blue you want.
4300-6000K has the maximum lumens output. (Around 3000candle power).
My OEM's are 4300 if i'm not mistaken. They are very bright. I'm going to put 12,000Ks in my fog bulbs cause I do want more blue coming out the front. But I like how much more the road is lit up now.
There really is no comparision between Halogens and HID's.

You can get genuine HIDs for less than half that amount. Believe me, I've fitted aftermarket HIDs to every car I've owned in the last six years, and they are worth it. They're a combination safety/visibility/styling mod all in one. The first set I bought six years ago (Philips kit for my Z) cost me $500, and those were worth every penny of the price. Now that they can be had for under $200, it's almost foolish NOT to get them. Take a ride in an HID-equipped car on some unlit back roads (same car as yours if possible, but any really will do) and you'llsee what I mean.
Yep, HIDs are very easy to install. Took about 15 minutes in all in my B5. Literally a plug n play setup. Here's a couple pics of my 6000k kit (for me, 8000k is a little too blue, and not quite as bright as I'd like - any kit from 4300k to 6000k is going to give really good, really WHITE light on the road ahead of you, although 4300k is the closest to natural daylight (hence the reason the OEMs all use 4300k).
