nice... less mechanically inclined people ask me why my car makes hissing sounds (turbo spooling) and I have to explain the whole turbo idea. I actually had someone ask me why I kept shifting gears because they thought my car was 'like all the other cars' (automatic, didn't know what a manual was) and didn't understand why I would choose to get a car that doesn't do things for me.

thats so funny. My mom now knows what a/f ratios are and turbo sizes since ive had my audi its kinda funny cause she can hold a convo about some stuff.

 

Hahaha thats a great story. I constantly have to explain things to my friends about my car, I forget many times that "other" people don't know the words Im using just to describe something. Kinda funny. They also think its funny when we are out, and they will see me looking off at something in the distance or here me go "niiice" to myslef and ask me whats up, I usually give em the old "just a debadged 1.8t with lip spoiler...ooo nice painted unders too..kamei grill...clear corners..." They all just look at me like, riiiiiight.

 

hahah yeah thats some funny shyt. well almost all of my friends know a great deal about cars, like me, so i dont have to explain much until it gets into the complicated stuff or im explaining common sense things to a certain friend who is a wee bit slow. me and my friends can have conversations about anything about cars, i love it.
