99 audi a4 2.8

no cels are coming up at all
and im assuming all of these problems are related

-when i lock my car via remote the only thing it does is arm the alarm
-When i put the key in the driver door and turn the key to lock it, it only locks
the driver door and nothing else and also arms the alarm.
-when i press down the lock button on the driver door it does nothing.
-when i try to unlock/lock the passenger door nothing happens

at the moment im having to manualy lock everythin when i get out of the car which is a pain.

and it all worked when i got the car. i was also having trouble getting the gas
cap to open i had to physicaly pry the locking arm out with a screw driver.

HELPPPPPP i wanna fix this before i put in a new stereo system

 

Either your vacuum pump (back right corner of the trunk under the carpet) is dead, or the lines are broken. That pump drives the locks and the fuel door release.

 

any ideas on a fix for them cause the parts like 600 that i dont really want to spend haha.
