Wow, thats a new one. The type of oil and amount used has all to do with sludge, not the power level. All you need to show is that you changed the oil with reciepts and your fine.

any apr place offers the 1+ program for free if you have their stage 1 software. you would have spent less time and money driving to an apr dealer and getting it done

 

yeah, i thought the same. i have meticulous records dating back to the cars inception, so i figured itd be cool too. I dunno, the guy didnt seem like he was trying to rip me off or anything, but he did suggest it. He was telling me that tampering with the ecu voids ALL warranties, including engine sludge, which essentially scared me into buying stock program. Now the more i think about it, even with two programs, couldnt they just look at the metal housing around the ecu and know it was tampered with? Mine had the one time use only bolts, and i had to grind a slot for a flathead into them to get it out, pretty obvious signs of tampering to me. lol. I guess i got raped on that one [:@]. So you dont think having it chipped would affect engine sludge warranty at all?

 

they do offer 1+ free if i want to upgrade. i dont see what you are missing
and it wouldnt have saved me money to drive somewhere, they are the closest authorized dealer, and are still 5+ hrs away. I work, so taking days off to do this would be losing money DUCY?

 

auditech79 would know for sure, but i REALLY dont think they would refuse engine sludge with records even if you walked in there with a gt28rs installed.

 

Damn, well they got me on that one. As for everything else though, i cant find anywhere else on the internet that offers any lower pricing than they do, so i guess those are the breaks when you dont live close enough to any decent tuning shops.

 

what DV did you buy for $175??! $150 for a stock program!! GIAC offers stock mode for only $50. Not only did they rape you but so did whoever you shipped it with for $36 each way. And a chip has nothing to do with engine sludge and will not void your warrenty, all you need is receipts and youre golden. I got my engine replaced for free due to sludge and I'm far from stock

 

Bailey DV 170$. I really dont see how i got that raped here, sure i shouldnt have gotten the stock program for that much, but can anyone show me a link to where i can get APR stage 1, a Bailey DV, and an extra program for that much less than what it cost me? (818$+labor) if so, then yes, i took it up the butt from 2Bennett. I doubt you can though. I mean, sure, you can find the DV for maybe 15$-20$ cheaper online, but other than that i dont think you can find the other stuff much cheaper

and so does every other apr place. and GIAC will give you the option to go back to stock, for $50. i just sold my dv for 80, i've seen them go for cheaper. and WHAT LABOR? they hook up a computer to your OBDII port and upload it in a couple minutes. thats worth 70?
