Are there any specific problem areas too look for?? I found a 96 a4 for 1,800 or best offer and to be honest due to the price I almots dont want to waste my time looking at it.

 

for that price, i wouldnt bother. It will only lead to problems, and once they break its mad expensive to fix. I say dont waste your time

 

WOW... I paid $17,000 for my 96 A4 Turbo/Quattro. (Yes they came out in Australia T/Q's in 96) I paid that about 4 months ago, works out at 13,000 US. Anyway I love the shape of the B5. If it is a Turbo, most of the 96 Turbos can't be chipped.

 

Are you in the US? If you're on the west coast it may be worth it.

What exactly is wrong with it?

 

Need more info. That car probably has a salvage title or a body in the trunk or something.
