1996 Audi A8 4.2
Hey guys,
I have recently purchased a Audi A8 '96 Quattro 4.2, anyway nice car i love cruising in it...
Just a few questions as it seems extremely hard to find much info about these...
It has 184k's on it but it is in immaculate factory condition. Silver with black leather interior.
Are those K's high for this car? I love it but I'm afraid of it breaking on me! These things aren't cheap to fix... The only problems I'm aware of are as follows:
The trip comp sometimes goes all red and the fuel range sticks at 30km remaining. Seems to be quite random when it does this.
There is a 'knocking' noise from the front suspension somewhere which seems to just constantly make little knocking rumbles when the road is slightly rough but doesn't 'crash' over larger bumps or anything?
Also the temp gauge will max out at 90 on the gauge but it takes awhile to get there and generally it seems to be running cool? I'm not sure whats the normal range for these cars, but the heater is still warm even when it reads around 60 or so... At the moment its winter in New Zealand and it gets around 2C to minus 4C so not that extreme...
If anyone could shed some insight for me it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
