Default Looking to buy an 2000 A4 or A6

This will be my second car. Any tips on what I should look out for and what trims I should look out for?

I'm switching from a Honda and I've heard that Audi's are A LOT more expensive to fix, so I don't want to end up buying a lemon.

Thanks

I switched from a Honda Prelude like 8 months ago...and you're right, they are a lot more expensive to fix than Hondas and require a lot more TLC. It helps if you are handy and can do most of the small maintenance yourself...because little **** pops up everyday (it seems). But in the end, I love my 2000 A4...so it's worth it...and I enjoy working on it (most of the time).

Just know what you're getting into before actually buying it...if you don't have extra cash for repairs, or don't want to do most of the stuff yourself, I wouldn't recomend it.

I'm willing to learn how to do the small maintenance stuff myself, but the only thing is I don't have a garage.

When does AUDI recommend to change the timing belt and how much does it cost? The cars that I'm looking at are in the 100-130km area.

Thanks

01+ A4 i believe the timing belt should be done at 90K miles. as far as the A4 or A6..... if you dont care about mods, then go for the A6, it has alot more room and options. if you want to mod your car get the A4 1.8T or the A6 2.7T
