So i was driving the car this weekend and notice that the boost guage was only going up to barely 15psi. It has always been between 18-20 psi consistently for over a year now. So what do i do here? I heard the pvc valve can rob me of 2-3 psi. do i do a boost leak test? the car has 63K on it.

 

A boost leak test could help you rule out a few reasons why you are loosing boost. Check out the DIY I posted on AG, it's fairly easy to do yourself. (the 2nd link is just an upgrade to the kit)

I had a boost leak in the L-tubes... might wanna take a look at those quick and easy to check for..

 

Hook up a vaccum pump to your turbo recirculation valve where the vaccum line goes into it and see it holds vaccum. If it doesn't its toast, replace that first then check for the hard stuff.

 

I have APR /w Milltek Exhaust

My boost hits 15-16 PSI.

Then of course falls back down to around 10 PSI.
