losing boost

Default losing boost

hey just recently intstalled a blow off valve its a ssqv. im not losing boost and it doest feel like it used to. any suggestions?!?!

i know this post is old... yea heres a good one get rid of that bov and do it right get a good dv... baliey, evo, forge any of those there are great

I don't remember 100% but I believe that the SSQV is an adjustable BOV. Could be that the valve is not tightened properly. My Apex'i twin-chamber BOVs on my Z were adjustable, and there are optimal settings for them based on the amount of boost that you run. You might try experimenting with the tension on it - if it's set way too loose, there's a chance that you're getting a small boost leak, regardless of what it feels like from seat of the pants driving.
