Default A lot of problems, please help

Hey all, I have a lot of small problems with my 1999.5 A4 and I could use some help.

1) Cigarette burns. One up by the sunroof, the other by the passenger's column by the window. Both on the fabric... is there any way to remove this?
2) When I start the car, sometimes a weird bubbling/gurgling noise appears and seems to come from the gas tank...? Likewise, often when I turn it off there is a gurgling noise in the front- seems to come from the hood right in the middle below the windshield.
3) SCRATCHES! The bumper has some dents (that go in through the pain) and I stupidly used Turtle Wax on parts of my hood and roof to remove something and I just dulled the pain and now I have huge spots of dull pain on these areas, including many scratches on various parts of the car.
4) Parking break handle comes off- glue?
5) There is a weird noise coming from the driver's window- I don't know what it is. The window is sealed (no leaks) but it makes this awkward noise like the window is loose and wiggles back and forth- but this isn't the case.
6) When I accelerate and break, as well as apply pressure to the middle part (where the shifter is located- the thing below the stereo/heating that separates the driver/passenger's legs and the shifter sits on it) there is this squeaky noise like the parts aren't sealed or something. And the thing the shifter sits on is loose- is there a way to fasten this? Can I remove it and then put it back? How?
7) By the driver's door, on the outside, those black things on the bottom that run across the side of the car, one side is loose and I was wondering if I can glue this back on?
8) My breaks are really squeaky, but apparently I have good break pads and the breaks work incredibly well. Something that needs oiling?
9) There are some cracks on the driver's seat, in the leather- two are getting worse (I can put my finger through one) can I fix this or get it fixed?

Also, there are various noises/squeaks coming from various places and I've gotten to the point where I have to turn the music up really loud in order to not hear these or I go insane!

Any thoughts on all/some/any of these issues?

Thanks,
A4

1. If there is a burn then i dont think u can fix that cus i think u melted the ceiling
2. I think thats just ur fuel pump i maybe wrong but i get that same noise as well
3. ? Not to good with paint stuff
4. I have a clip that holds mine on, i have never herd of glue on it
5. Are there any rubber flaps that may be loose even tho no water gets in?
6. remove the plastic part around the shifter and check and see if any bolts are loose, check audizine for details on removing it
7. i think glue may work but a rivit maybe a better choice again i dont know if this is correct
8. have u cleaned them off to get some of the break dust off?
9. there are some leather patching kits that will fix it
lol we all have that i just turn my music up also

As for your brakes, dont oil the pads and rotors
Remove the wheels and inspect the components. Check for pad thickness, look for the wear pattern on the rotor (you can tell right away if it's even or not). Rotate the rotor by hand to check for any tight spots or if the rotors are warped.
If you;re a DIY kind of person, just do some simple maint. Clean off all the dust as suggested, knock off any loose rust on the calipers and brake pads, and thouroughly clean and lightly grease the sliding surfaces on the calipers where the pads move on.
That's the least that can be done granted your rotors and pads are still in good shape.
The most you can do is replace all rotors and pads and then properly bed the new brakes in.

please dont glue our rivet the black plastic things on! there a PITA and For someone to get off and looks bad. There are steel supports running through those for a series of clips on your door, and they are probably rusty. all you have to do is take it off and replace it. they are 30 dollars per and are a goood thing to replace and will last you for a long time. My car now someone riveted it back on and the rivets rusted and it looks bad so just replace it or you wont be happy

here they are 30 dollars. ECSTUNING

scroll 3/4 ths the way down and you will see them, carefully inspect all yours and see if all yous need to be replaced b/c you get a better deal if you buy all 4 together

As cheap as the mouldings are, just replace them. i replaced all four when i got my car. If you live in the salt belt, you will have to snip off the nut that holds the screw in place by the front of the door, it rusts and cannot be taken off.
