for the love of god! why audi why!?!
can someone please explain to me why it is necessary for a 190hp v6 engine to be at 3500rpm at 80mph? for the 4 cylinder turbo engines..3500 isnt so bad (still pritty high) but for a v6 engine....i dont even know what to say. does anyone else find this annoying?
i found it annoying at first, but the engine is quite enough its not like having a big block at those rpm's..but its actually kind of nice having the engine up that high for accelerating and passing and stuff like that

I drove from Seattle to Billings non-stop (well, to get fuel of course), and didn't even notice, I was probably averaging 95MPH the whole way too. I think if it were an issue, Audi would have addressed it by gearing their transmissions differently, they make them the way they do for their reasons, and if there were a reliability issue, they would have changed it.
im not saying it would cause problems, im just saying its annoying! any engine should be able to do 4k rpm for several hours without breaking. yeah im sure the engine can handle 5-6k too...... but that doesnt mean im going to drive around in 3rd gear all day.

buy an s4 then, haha

actually when i got my car i had to replace the transmission and was looking into using an s4 but there were just to many question about the fitment and the 6spd transmissions are EXPENSIVE! the cheapest one i could find was triple what a paid for my 5spd DJR transmission.
Well let's not forget that the VW group is and German Manufacturer and their cars are specifically built for the autobahn. This makes me pretty sure that our cars will hold up at speeds excess of 100mph.
