I'm so mad right now... my friends and I were going to lunch, but didn't have enough for two people. Anyway, I drove and my friend 'Stan' drove too. I'm waiting at a stoplight with a slight incline, so I put the e-brake on enough to hold me and let off the brake and take it out of gear so I can rest my feet. We were just goofing off, and we flipped each other off through my sun roof. Then Stan decides it might be funny to tap the back of my car with his. I start rolling forward a little bit and realize it and hit my brakes so I don't hit the guy in front of me. Him and everyone in his car is laughing, me and my passenger are just like, WTF?! I figured it probably wouldn't do damage, but was still pissed nonetheless. I park (about a block from the scene of the love tap) and check out my bumper. There's a mark about 1 square cm where the paint is gouged out that wasn't there before. I called him up because I didn't know where he parked and told him he better get his *** over here and give me his insurance information. He refuses and tries to fight me over it. Anyway, I called up my parents. I couldn't get a hold of my dad, so I called my mom and heard what she thought. I ended up getting the non-emergency police number and call them up. He explains to me that it is state law that we trade information. He also says that in the interest of my friendship, I might consider asking again, and explaining that I just got off the phone with the police. He again refuses and per the officer's advice, I called them back. He asked to talk to Stan, and so I put him on the line. The officer told me (he said the same thing to Stan) that again basically it is required by law that he exchange info with me, but that if he refuses still then they will send out a car and take a report as well that someone may end up getting a ticket over it if it comes to sending out an officer. Finally Stan agrees to trade info. He is really mad right now because he knows his parents are going to kill him if they find out (which now they will).

I dropped by my house (conveniently right down the street) with fire in my eyes and picked up my digicam and a tape measurer to take photos of the damage as well as where his car hit mine. I snap pictures fast in case he comes out and catches me doing it. I made absolutely sure that at no point did I touch his car during the photo shoot.

Next stop, I went down to a body shop my mechanic recommended and picked up a quick estimate. It came out to $532.71 because they have to overhaul the bumper, repaint it and color match it. I'm thinking about just taking a cash settlement for the full amount either from him or his insurance company. I think it would be hard for him to argue that he didn't do it when I have photographic evidence that matches the height of the dent to the height of his f'ed up front plate as well as 5 witnesses to the event. Then I'll probably use the cash to fix some other body work I need to do, because I figure I may end up upgrading to an S4 kit later.

yeah my buddy and i were messing around a while ago, he ended up rear ending me.. barely any damage.. but his bumper on his ranger is messed up thoroughly. sucks [:@]

 

Damn that blows. It sucks when friends do thta **** to you. Me and my friends have always been stupid, but we never tried anything like that before. We might be dumb... but we never fukced with each other cars.

 

Yeah, I don't know what we are going to do in terms of our friendship. I don't really care so long as he is willing to pay for it, but he seems pretty upset because he know's his parents are going to kill him. He said he was gonna kick my *** after it was over, but I figure it would only make my case stronger.

 

haha mine wasn't on purpose, his was. his story was pretty messed up. my homies would never do that.

Serves him right to have his *** kicked by his parents, retarded teens don't deserve to be behind the wheel if their gonna pull **** like this (I wonder whos going to end up flipping the bill). Some people just don't have respect for their own stuff... let alone other peoples. I'd go crazy if somebody so ignorant did something like that to me! I'm out washing and waxing my car every week... I don't need some douche to gouge my paint deliberately! An accident is one thing... but yeah... I'd have been pissed too, man.

My buddy played car tag with the back of my Pathfinder. I got out and punched him in the face for being an ***. Which was really easy since his window was down.

 

when i was in high school i had a 79 dodge colt and i would ram my friends ford tempo. sometimes at like 10 mph. it was awesome.

as far as your friend goes i would he b!tch man slap him. if anyone hit my car now i would kill them. kill them dead
