Yea all my friends know that my car is my life. I have a buddy who, amazingly enough, is more **** about his car than I am. I know for a fact he would mess them up if someone did that to him.

You handled it very nice though - talking to him about it and all. There wouldn't have been much talking with me.

Your friends need to start respecting your stuff...

So your car was already messed up before all of this? Maybe he didn't realize how much you really care about the car... Its still no excuse for bumping into it and causing more damage.

 

A little update:

I was having trouble getting a hold of his parents last night, so tonight I made sure I would get them on the phone atleast. I parked down the street from thier house and waited about 30 minutes for one of them to come home. I had already left a message with them tonight, but I wanted to make sure I got in contact with them.

Anyway, I called them, got his dad on the phone, and explained to them who I was and what happened. Apparently 'Stan' had already explained it to them so they weren't totally in the dark. His dad basically told me right out that he would like for me to file a claim with his insurance company. I also told him about his son threatening me today yesterday, and he apologized on his behalf. I'll be starting the claim as soon as possible to get this solved as soon as possible. Since I'm going to filing a claim, I'm going to have the bumper repainted instead of taking a cash settlement.

 

Well that’s good that he at least told his parents, and its good that your getting your bumper fixed, that’s why I’m kind of glad my car hasn’t been repainted yet, I don’t really have to worry about stuff like that..... but when it gets repainted this summer, if someone so much as scratches it there toast, lol
