Default Is this to low?

Hey guys I hope everyone has had a good New Years so far. I have a question since growing up I've been around fords, hondas, nissans, and toyotas,; and their gas milages seens to be really good. But since I've had my Audi (which I love) I get around to around 187 miles and my tank is empty. I've been reading other post and people have said they get 250 miles, 300 miles, and even some with 400 miles. Im bone stoke all I have is HID (which got installed this weekend by yours truely). So is there any idea on what I should do or tune to solve this problem thanks alot.

Use Shell Vpower premium gas and change your fuel filter.

Cabin Filter (Fram)
FuelFilter (Mahle or Bosch)
Stock Air Filter (Mahle)

The fule filter and air filter are a pain to install use this site to show you how to step by step: http://www.audidiy.com/b5a4.html

K&N aftermarket air filters are good, seem to be the most common alternative to a cold air intake here.

Around town my 2.8 30v gets around 24 and hits 32 on the highway. If I were you I'd look into changing the fuel filter and the coolant temp sensor, and the air filter while you're at it. Any of those could have an effect on your mileage, and your mileage definitely sucks. Any check engine light codes in there? Does your temp needle act funny sometimes? Those are keys to check out - they can provide information to point you in the right direction.

You must really like hearing that turbo sing! Agree, that's a bit low.

Can you access your fuel trims/injection time with vag-com? Does it appear to be running rich? Maybe, there's a small vacuum leak that your ecm's trying to compensate for with additional fuel. Second what others have suggested, as well.

Assuming that you have a quattro and automatic, mixed driving should be consistently over 250 miles/tank.
