the car in question is a audi 1.8 t cab about 6 months back i got the dreaded low oil pressure warning and took it to a garage and they confirmed it was the oil pump had failed they replaced the pump the oil pick up and oil pressure sensor got the car back and all was good again 6 months later i havent driven the car for a month and today set off in the car and i get the low oil pressure again could it be a faulty sensor or as the pump failed again are they prone to breaking so quickly...luckly no damage to the engine as its realy quiet when you start up and no sign of knocking....hopefully get it in the garage soon as to check engine pressure to eliminate the pump failure any other ideas what could be causing this....thanks

 

All sorted they fitted a new oil pressure switch done 100 miles all good...
