I've noticed that the turbos on these cars aren't very loud.

Do any particular styles of intakes make the turbo louder?

Also, do they have a silencer ring in the compressor housing? On the diesel truck I used to have, there was a ring held in with a c-clip in the compressor housing that quited the inducer.

And of course a quiet straight through exhaust will get you more sound out the tailpipe...

The Ko3 is a small turbo I noticed a lot more sound once I got chipped as well as exhaust and the intake box mod also made a huge difference in sound.

Any intake will work, or air box mod. But with an intake youve got to fabricate a really effective heat shield because youll be exposing the filter to the blazing hot temps from the turbo/manifold/cat that sit right next to it which does bad things for your performance. When I say "effective heat shield" Im talking about something like this: http://audizine.com/forum/showthread...270&page=3(scroll down)
A chip would help a lot too.

You mean the ICM? I would just secure it somehow someplace... Zip ties are a wonderful thing.
