Default MAP & MAF Bad

here is the question, the map is definatly shot, but the maf was giving me some good readings and not so much so the other times

could i replace the map sensor and see if that is fine then get a maf if it isn't or should i just break down and do both at the same time?

any help would be appretiated

Try cleaning the MAP sensor. They are known to get dirty and give bad readings. Why do you think the map is shot? have you tried cleaning the maf?

i was at the mechanic today, for my 0171 cel

had them test it, and they said both sensors were going bad gone

he put in a new(map) thrust sensor and it made the maf act better but not completely right

i think the #'s for the map are 70's or something and they were bellow, maf is 100's and it was well bellow
put in a new map to test and it was throwing 104 and "normal" readings most of the time

yes you have both a maf and map.
I cleaned my map sensor a couple weeks ago just for the hell of it... it was dirty. Dave-map is in the intake manifold and maf is in the airbox.
Just get a toothbrush and rubbing alc. and clean it.
