mbc question

just got my mbc in and was wondering what it should be set at. Dont worry, i have a boost gauge but i was thinking about 18psi? what do yo guys think? thanks

oh yeah, my car is still running the stock turbo. Just chipped, intake, and exhaust

what year and it should already be spiking 18 psi chipped no? if u think that a mbc is goin to hold 18 to redline ur wrong. its the turbo itself doin that.

Usually, a MBC will hold whatever boost level the turbo is CAPABLE of holding. So, the question becomes, can the stock K03 turbo hold stable boost at 18 psi in the high revs?

If you are not chiped ,don't go over 12 psi

ahhh the time old problem...
cant turn the boost up unless you turn the fuel up
obtw i ran about 25 psi with stock tuning using a mbc. im lucky i didnt blow the motor i just blew the turbo.

Only set it for a couple pounds over what your boost gauge is reading as your current maximum boost.

thanks for the feedback guys, sorry i havent been on till now(work). Im running about 16 psi and 18 spike. So what now? set it at 18 or at 20 and do you think it would help in anyway to go with a 4 bar fpr? thanks

I wouldn't set it any higher than 20. Personnally, I would set the MBC at 18. Don't mess with the FPR unless it's broken.

Uhh..Jeff I don't bleave that you run 25 psi w/MBC crazy ...
How did you set the AFPR ? How did the engine adjust the fueling before the turbo spools
