Actually the transmission fluid on Audi is gold colored, not red. The unit is a sealed unit, so you have to get under the car to check.

 

Well I bought the car used a couple months ago and I didnt see anything in the service manual saying that it had the tranny fluid replaced. Also I dont think I have a "sport" mode button, where would it be located? Im pretty sure my car has the sport package due to the red shocks I have and the steering wheel. When I get my car back today ill let you know if the throttle body cleaning did anything. thx.

 

UPDATE:

I picked my car up from the mechanic, he cleaned the throttle body and did a computer scan. He told me no codes came up and that my throttle body wasnt too dirty. Driving home coming to a stop in my house the car almost dropped below 500 rpms and almost died again, but i quickly got on the gas to keep it up. WHAT IS GOING ON!!! It isint the throttle body, nor the MAF. Everyone I talk to says that they have never heard of the transmission being the problem causing stalling. Could it be my idle control valve or EGR valve? What about my fuel injector? Any help is much appreciated.

 

Ok im not a mechanic or claim to be, Im new to Audi but have worked in automotive dealerships for over 17 years,This problem sounds like either an exhaust problem(Like the converter is clogged)or you have an idle air valve(not sure what audi calls it)issue,Have you scanned your car for codes?,Have you taken it to an AUDI dealer?....Sry if this seems like babbling,Trying to help
