MIL code P0722 , please help~updated; TCM need to be replaced
Well, after 3 years, another 36000 problem free miles, I finally had to replace the tcm in order to pass CA smog test.
Call dealer and got quote for $2100, manager would give 15% loyalty discount though.
So I gave AUDI USA a call, 3 days later, dealer called that Audi USA would do 50% good will discount. Sounds good to me.
Today, after long 6 hours wait, car is ready. No more MIL. I paid $956.34 otd. $519.44 for new tcm, gaskets, atf oil, screw, clamp. And $386.25 for labors, $50.65 tax. And 6 free(recall) coils.
So if you need the cvt tcm to be replaced and w/o warranty, as I saw couple of other threats about similar problem. Don't forget to give Audi USA a call and see what they can do for you.
Now, Can anyone recommend a good smog shop around antelope valley?
Thanks, Sean
