Miles per Gallon
Hi out there. I am new to this forum, but not to Audi family. This is my 4th Audi -'07 A4 2.0T quattro. Previous ones: A6 2.7T, A63.0, and now Q7 3.6 and A4. I have read neumerous reviews at yahoo that A4 gets great MPG and I bought itbecause ofmy commute. Here comes the problem. The car makes 18-20 miles per galon mix city and highway driving - gentle driving. I read that it should make 25-30 on highway. I took the car to the service department.Tech guys were surpised, they did software upgrade, checked the computer, told me everything is fine. But I am still back to my 20 mpg.[>:]
What should I do? Or everyone gets same horrible mpg?

Ok what is the weather like in your area? I havent been in the Audi family long but have had many differnt cars some effected by heat more then others. I live in Las Vegas and have a 25 mile trip to work in the morning where I get on avg over 2 weeks 22.9mpg and on the way home 19.6. I drive very gental when I'm alone to and from work theres no reason to get there in a rush or home. When I leave its about 98 to 100 when I'm on my way home its about 120 to 125 thats on the road and what the car reads. When its cooler it hasnt failed its always been better. Also are you still within the 1000 run in? If so take it easy and she'll get better.
I have the car for a few months. Weather is different in my area. I have over 5,000 miles on it. Andgas consumptionis the same when I picked the car with 145 miles on it. Funny thing - when the car was delivered to me, sales guy noted that "at this time it consumes a lot of gas (I do not know why he even mentioned that) and later it will get better", but it never did. I know he drove the car from 145 miles away and the car was left with tank half full.
My neighbour gets approx 350 miles per 14 gallons same driving.
