Default Misfiring??

so i was coming back from the mtns this week and a spark plug popped out of my #1 cylinder. i already had the platinum plus 4 plugs and i put them in. now my car stutters and i believe its misfiring.. the CEL goes on and off and sometimes it blinks for a few seconds. i took off the plug boot and the rubber is broken on the #1 cylinder boot. would this affect anything? the rubber is the only thing broken

it might I would try running some logs with a vag-com if you could and see if the misfire follows the coil pack. I dont know the proper gap for the 2.8 but you might want to double check the gap

Mmmmmm..... Platnum + turbo = bad. with turbo cars you shouldn't run platnum plugs because the tips tend to break off and chip the blades in the turbo. Iridium plugs are what are recominded

I had this happen to my probe, when it popped out the plug hole was threaded and gases were escaping around the plug after it was reinserted making it misfire. I had to use a drill and Helicoil to fix it.

change your coil packs to different cylinders.. to see if the problem changes cylinders

if it does.. then you need a coil pack
