You should try the big injector file. It throws down some very nice torque numbers.

NuYorka103185, im sure your list and prices helps this guy a lot. the prices are reasonable but your total cost is just the materials.
Okay then lets factor in install.

Ecu Flash: 500 (thats including labor)
Intake: 300 (takes a bout half an hour. Evoms cahrges 90/hr so I paid $45)
DV: 150 (same as intake another $45)
Exhaust: 700 ($200 to install with my high flow cat)
N75: 90 (DIY)
Front mount intercooler: 350 (probably an hour so lets say $90)
High flow cat or test pipe: 200 (included in cost of exhaust)
K04: 700 (lets high ball this one and say 5hrs, well at $90/hr so $450)
K04 file 100 (thats including labor)
add another 4-500 for little supporting mods
and a total of around $830 for installs.
Thats only $4400 Still NOT BAD!!!

A real, quality FMIC will run you no less than $1,000.

EDIT: Unless you peice it together and do DIY piping, etc. Which it sounds like he doesn't want to do.

You can get a very good intercooler core for $400 and custom piping, on average, runs around $200.

how about get an older viper (32,000-38,000) and have 500 horses at your foot for summer... or a corvette.... great bang for the buck....

don't get me wrong... modding the audi would be awsome.... but if you are really in the market for another car...... might as well leave the audi just about stock.... especially with these gas prices rising above sea level

and a 500hp viper (v10?) would be the cure to highgas prices vs.a modded 4 cyl?

Speaking of gas prices, when are they gonna start dropping turbos on those hybrids?

i say chip it, install a 710n, and call it a day. it will give you a really nice power boost for only 500 bucks. it'll be enough power for you to enjoy the car even more and then get that 88 gt!!! but get it inspected by a reputable shop first to make sure everything was done correctly and not just "thrown together".

o and chipping it will most likely improve your gas mileage so it'll end up paying for itself eventually

Well technically it does, but your foot usually gets heavier once you get the chip, so gas mileage usually goes down.
