Am I mistaken? I could have sworn that wrx's were high 14 sec cars stock, chipped takes them close to a 14.2-14.3. I know I would be dead even with a nonchipped one(intake/exhaust only) in my old gsr(14.8sec 1/4) on the street(btw, not condoning street racing) and they would be able to outlaunch me resulting in a better quarter for them.

Puts it at 275hp. That is pretty quick.
And there are quite a few a4's out there that can take sti's. If I don't beat one with the setup I have, I will be fairly p*ssed off.

Yeah, but I would much rather have an a4 that is the same speed as an sti than the sti. MUCH nicer interior, probably won't handle quite as good, but I could get over that. I only have about 7k in my car(including the car, a 97 1.8tqm) and I should be able to at least hang with one.

He thought it would be an easy kill (which it should have been) but he didn't launch and he didn't have time to catch up cause we only got up to about 60 ish.
..) and he didn't really floor the car in first or second gear(but he was racing...I'm for sure), and he never even caught me.(because when I FLEW past him in first and second, I just turned on my hazards and made a quick detour.) Like I said guys, just goes to show that

LOL, yea a stock wrx with a good driver will hit 14.4, car and driver did 14.1 with it i believe, and makes 227?hp crank. A well tuned k04 can hit 14.4 with a good run, a chipped a4 will never hit 14.4 unless on race gas or something. A cobb tuned with everything else stock wrx runs about 260hp

i have a 92 passat with a vr6 swap, and with chip, intake, exhaust, cams, i dynoed 190whp, and couple other goodies..
keep in mind, my car is heavy as a boat 3100lb
i ran 14.4 1/4mile
not bad for n/a
