My car broke down.... again....
I am so ready to sell this POS.
I have a 2001 A4 1.8t Manual,
I tried to start the car and I got the normal churning sound with the rapid clicks? Batter right? Tried jumping the car (usually does the trick when I've had this problem in the past) no dice... Car has had a new battery and a new alternator in the last year. Any idea what it could be?

Cables? Bad ground?
In the words of a former shop teacher:
"The number one reason a car won't start is dern on the ternimals."
Cables also rot from the inside out, so it can be hard to visually see wear. It is possible to measure resistance though in the cable with a multimeter.
