I just picked up my 2002 1.8t quattro last night. This is my first Audi and I suppose I'm still getting used to the car. At this point, I still miss my old pontiac that I traded. I spent 9 years driving that car, and it's hard to let it go.

Anyway, I'm already having a problem with the car! The little pop out tray directly to the right of the ESP button will not lock back into place. It always pops open and sticks out from the dash. Is there an easy way to take off the dash so that I can get back there, or does anyone have any tips on repairing this? Better yet, even though the car is used, it is an 02 and has only 43k miles on it...isn't it sitll under warranty?

The other problem I'm having is that the reflective triangle will not stay stuck to the trunk lid. It always just falls down into the trunk! Do these break all the time??

You are probably going to have to aquire some radio keys to pull the radio out. That way you can access the tray easily. Might have to order a new one depending on if the old one is broken.

 

Ugh, that sounds like a pain in the butt! I think that the dealership should take care of this for me...I mean I had literally driven it less than 10 miles from the lot!

Also, is it still under warranty if it's an '02 with 43k miles and I bought it used?

Did you buy it from the dealer? Probably going to have to take a trip to see them.

 

I did, but it was an Acura dealer. I'll call them again today and see what I can do. I don't want to have to do this because I don't have the time for these things anymore!
