I have a B5 with two-piece headlights. I took off the top two bolts.... now how the heck do I remove the whole light housing???

Need help bros.... Please.... Me car is in the driveway and the new two-piece projctors are waiting to get installed.

 

there are lower bolts/screws

 

Gotta remove the front bumper. A few screws aren't accesable without it off.

 

How do I remove the front bumper?

That question may sound stupid, but I am new to "working on my car".

I just got the projectors in today and I am like a kid in a candy store!!!

you can call that dude...............????? or remove the bumper, its really not that hard

 

You don't have to remove the bumper... get a light, and look down the holes... there are holes designed so you can use like a 6" extension, and get at the lower bolts. I did mine in the summer... definately didn't touch the bumper! I used a dab of silicone to hold the bolt to the torx socket when re-installing... so it would stick to it as I dangled it down in the hole.

 

do magnetic torx drivers work? just wondering for when I do clear corners

 

lol take the side marker out its ez pop out a lil plastic thing twords the fire wall push down a little but on hook take it out then unscrew the side bolt and the top two like you did, i jus did it replacing a head light i accidently droped something in the housing .... don't ask haha ...
