Ok guys, i have a 2004 fwd A4. Now its under a lease and still got 2 years to go. I was wondering if its ok to chip my car without the dealership knowing. I have been wanting the extra gain in power but someone told me that if i chip my car that the ecu will record the info and the dealer will find out. Could someone please enlightenment on the terms of a lease and having a chipped car. Btw, im also wondering the difference betweent he G.I.A.C chip and the power chip.

 

Well I'm pretty sure the program will be flashloaded to your car with encrypted files. There is no physical object for the dealer to detect, and you can switch it back to stock mode if you buy the program. I dunno if I would do it on a lease but what do I know.
