Default Need help: Fuel Gauge not working!

So I got up early for a math exam, and of course my A4 wanted to play games.

It was about 25 degrees, and the battery just wouldnt put out enough to crank. I tried starting it about 4 timesand got afew turnovers, but it just wouldnt start.

Finally Ihad my friend give me a jump with his cables.

It fired right up, but now the Fuel gauge is on E, and my DTE indicator tells me I have Zero Miles till empty. I know the car has half a tank since I just fueled it up the night before.

I checked a couple of fuses, and assuming I checked the correct ones, nothing was blown. Any idea what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance for the help,
A seriously confused Polack.

Disconnect the battery and let it sit a few minutes before reconnecting it. Sometimes it will reset everything and make it work.

It's the sending unit - search for "fuel sending unit" and you'll find info.
