Default Need Mad Help

1998 Audi A4 2.8 quattro:

Ok so i got my CAI today and started to take off the stock intake which was a breeze. Then i put on the CAI and hooked up the MAF, checked for leaks and everything looked perfect.
Then i go to start the car and it starts for about 1 sec then dies. i checked for leaks again and everything was good, then i disconnected the MAF and reconnected it....Still did the same thing[sm=icon_flaming.gif] So i disconnected the battery and tried again but still the same thing....Anyone have any idea?[sm=helpout.gif]

cool pictures mate and a nice job ( I don't like the cone filter though ) personal choice purely because it causes this type of problem and quite simply because of the distance from the cone to the MAF sensor, panel filter is better but thats also personal choice

the MAF is too close actually also the pipe diameter but any alteration in that area need proper diagnostics to set it up right for the best results ( same as chipping or flashing )

its not that simple you need VAG to meter the air fuel mix and the K&N really makes a difference, but that's not my area any more I prefer to enjoy the drive im an old fart you know
