I'm terrified of earlier Audi's reliability issues, I just need a car to commute around in. Any advice on the 1988 AUDI 80 QUATTROs?

 

Late 90's is when audi/vw's reliability is acceptable from what ive read and experienced. Get the miata, you can still get 400+hp out of them and will cost less to maintain. Well if its just a commuter dont worry about the 400 hp but the miata will be your best bet for a daily driver. What do you mean "refinance loan"?

 

I owe 7500 on my A6, I am bored of the A6 and want a more fun car. The Audi 80 is more fun, so is the Miata, the 80 also costs a lot less than the Miata.

Not much, a couple thousand MAX. I am not buying an American car..

This car will be used for driving around town and will sit 60% of the time
