Default Need some Advice

I was looking in the local Auto Shopper when I came across a sharp looking audi.

1999 Audi A4 - 4WD, 2.8 Quatro
80K miles with new tires for $11,640

VIN: -3A0133QQ325-

Im not exactly sure on the amount of Cyl. the car has, I think it might be a 6 cyl.

Just asking for advice with this year and model, wheather or not this year has had problems in the past or what not.

Also whether or not that is a good price for that many miles, I thinks its to expensive for 80K miles but can i please have your opinions

Thanks,
Chuck

Yea thats faster stock...
That price is a little too high. With 80k and all major maintenance done you should pay around $9500-$10500. It all depends on what your looking for. If its reliability the 2.8 is a good choice. If your looking to mod then get a 1.8T. Just make sure the timing belt has been changed.

Is a 1998-2000 good with about 60-70k miles on it for around $10k, or is that a little low?

Ok thanks, also wanna know if the turbo every craps out after a certain amount of miles. My friend told me that in the newer Audi S4 the turbocharger broke at around 100k miles, just wondering if that is a true fact and if the A4 has the same problem?

i dunno anything about turbo but if u get a (1998-2000 with about 60-70k miles)
the timing belt/waterpump/theromostat/tensioners should be replaced if they werent already. its expensive unless you can do it yourself its about 5-6 hours of labor with the kit your probably gonna pay 250-300 in parts and 350-400+ in labor ..
