i recently installed a new K04 turbo, the car ran good if not great on the K03 software for a week.


i upgraded to the K04 software and installed the AWE 5.0 bar fpr and it ran good for 3 days.


after that i noticed a lack of power but boost was spiking into the 25 psi range and still felt weak. then today i boost up to 15-17 psi and hold there.


i checked vacuum and boost hoses, swapped in the stock N75 valve, vacuum tested and inspected the 710N DV.


is this something that someone has come across before? i have a generic vag cable but no laptop to connect.

any help or suggestions would be great

come to find out it was the sneaky little coolant temp sensor

aparently this sensor isnt the one that reports to your coolant gauge on your dash, but to your ecu for proper tuning

I'm lovin the K04 again

next upgrade is the DV. that 710N isnt strong enough for the CFM the the K04 produces.
i can hear it screeching although the diaphram isnt torn.

yes i did notice a shutter when accel.

if it shutters at around 10 psi or so its the plugs, what ones r u runnin

 

it was shuttering, now it doesnt, it feels like limp mode, slow factory like accel. but boost up to 15 psi

no cel, i am running the bkr7e? plugs gapped at .28

the 710N, i pulled it out, tested and inspected it. and even replaced it with a new one knowing it was good.


the quick jump in boost is gone, slow factory like accel.
