New A4 noise
I looked through the posts about noises but couldn't find anything that sounded like this:
I've got a new noise from my car. When I let it run to cool down after average driving (car up to temp but not driven too hard) I get a two part noise coming from the rear while the car is in park/neutral. I can hear it well by aiming my ear to the wheelwell. I get a regular squeaking noise at a pretty fast pace like more than twice per second. The second noise is a puffing/pumping/blowing sound that isn't too loud and about once per second. Both noises stop when the car is off or after about 30 seconds.
Again my ride is a '98 1.8T quattro automatic. I checked the exhaust and it looks and feels ok. I'm not sure what it could be but I'm hoping it's nothing bad. Can you guys give me ideas?

it's like the noise you get when you blow over the top of an empty bottle. externally i couldn't feel or see any problem with the exhaust but it seems like the only place it could come from. nothing else back there should make that noise standing still. Right? Does this bring anymore ideas?
I am running stock exhaust.
