Default New A4 owner

Hi Guys,

I just recently got a 2005 A4 1.8t cvt A/T. This car is more of my commuter car, it will be used heavily for work (visiting clients, and what not). I have a 1994 Mazda RX7 as my toy car for now, but I am thinking of selling it to get rid of my student loans.

I am looking to mod ASAP, dont worry i will be using the search button a lot, but since im already posting my first post, i might as well ask about "chipping" and intake. I figure those are two good ways to start my mods. I am planning on intake first then the chip.

Any recommendations on which intake to get?

any links to recent threads that explains chipping and where to have it done?

thanks

ian

intake will not do much at all get a diverter valve which ever one they are all good then chip then exhaust actually I would love to hear a exhaust on a cvt the tone would sound awsome. What kind of mods do u have done to the FD

Welcome to the forums enconsiderate. Clconversion, there is no need to get a new diverter valve on such a new car. The only point to replacing one is to fix a leaky old one, or as preventative maintenance. I wouln't go too crazy modding the engine on a CVT, I didn't think they could handle that much more power?
