New to doing my own maintenence...
brake pads will be similar in size. the way the brakes work is there
is a piston that you compress to allow the fresh pads to fit. you then put
the caliper and stuff back, bleed the brakes and they pretty much will
squeze back in to place.
were to start though.....
spark plugs are good. make sure you do them one by one so you
dont cross any wires. and be carefull when threading them on you dont
want to screw up any threads. get ur self a torqur wrench, pretty much
every bolt has a torque listing, including spark plugs.
as for brakes the fronts are very easy. the rears are a bit more difficult
because the piston needs to be rotated while compressed.
get that first oil change out of the way to start with.
and buy a haynes manuel, its not as good as the bently one but its like 1/5 th
the price and it will serve well for basic needs. also check out some DIY sections
