This looks like this will be a fun forum to be a part of. Glad everyone that met up with the snow had some fun in it. The A4's been parked today. Clear skies, bright sun, and temps up to about 42F. Roads looked better, took out my sad little yard truck, '84 S-10, 4x2, 4cyl, auto with 170,xxx miles. Went 3 miles, hit an icy patch (going too fast and you know why...), and slammed into a lady's mailbox and big trashcan sitting at the end of her driveway!!! Too funny-- even with the new dent in my hood. I told you the ESP gave you too much confidence. The only problem is that the S-10 pickup has nothing to make me look like I know what I'm doing. Had I drove the quattro, none of this would have happened.

With the house hidden from the road by a huge boxwood hedge, I just about got away and out of the ditch with the help of a passing 4x4 pickup and his beautiful, rusty log chain, when the homeowner came driving down the driveway! Oh well... I took the blame (like I had any choice with her mailbox flattened and her trash bags thown about 20 feet down the road) and will be installing a new mailbox in the morning for her. I probably would have felt bad if I hadn't told her..... Nahhh!!!!!

 

Look at it this way......At least the Quattrro is safe at hoem!
