As long as you're buying from ECS... buy a package of oil filters. They sell them cheap!

I bought it for $6,800 which I think is a good deal for the car, the condition is very good. I got it from a female banker who owned it for 7 years and have all the maintenance records from dealer. I'm not sure if the car comes with sport package, it doesn't have power seats.

I'm new to Audi but not to turbo charged cars. I had a Eclise GST with Evo3 turbo and supporting mods at 300hp, and I still have the 350Z for sale, anyone interested? Just want to save some money for graduate program.

I will definitely check them out since so many of you recommend them. I'll probably get the timing belt kit from them at the same time.

No idea what prices are good in USA, but it sounds good to me. Always nice to see that the previous owner owned it for a long time and took care of it. Maintenance records are a must, for me.
And yeah, you couldn't get power seats on the 1.8T until 2003 I believe.
Sport pkg is 20mm lower and I believe comes with the wheels you've got. However, the surefire way to see if you've got sport is to look at your shocks. Red = sports package.
Having the sports pkg means you have the 3 spoke steering wheel, but having the 3 spoke steering wheel does not mean you have the sport pkg.

Thanks for the help guys. Yea the most important thing to do after getting an used car is to complete all maintenance jobs before modding.

Nice! I like the B5 in that silver.

When in doubt about changing TB, just ask yourself, when I get the belt changed do I also want to have to change valvetrain/pistons with it. The answer should be simple. Although if you are married it would be an excellent excuse to upgrade!

Enjoy!

Is the ECS Tuning timing belt kit good? It comes with Dayco belts and I'm not sure how it compares to OEM. Do I need the kit with lightweight crank pulley?

Also, is it a good idea to upgrade the turbo while doing the timing belt job since most things are off? I read a lot of posts and the K04 seems like a good upgrade. I'm looking for ~300 crank hp, I'm not sure how to convert to awhp.
