Are neither of these companies: ALutec, AUTEC reputable? Then where should I be looking for wheels that match their prices?

Actually I have heard of Alutec, but only in passing. For me that isn't enough of a reputation to go off of.

Unfortunately, I think you'll be hard pressed to find a comparable price to those for 2 or 3 piece forged wheels. I'm not saying it is impossible, because I have seen a few that go for cheap, I just think you will have a limited selection. Your best bet, on the price at least, would be to look in ebay as you have been doing already. I would suggest finding an online retailer with a wide selection of wheels to get an idea of what you want, then just go price shopping. The place I've found as a good resource is WheelsBoutique.com because they have a HUGE selection of wheels and fairly competitive prices. I would still look around for a better deal on the wheels though. It just takes patience and an eye for detail. You could also just run down to the grocery/liquor store and pick up a few tuner mags cuz they always have tons of ads in 'em for wheels.

Good luck!

Just saw the post so I'm joining it a little late. Since these are cast wheels and not forged, I'd be leery of bending them, especially with 19s - the super short sidewall just won't absorb much force when hitting a bump or pothole. With wheels you really do get what you pay for. The Alutecs do look nice though.

Chris is right. I think if your going to make a large investment in wheels, why not wait a little longer and make a larger investment. If you can just stay patient you will be able to get your hands on a good deal and you'll end up happier in the long run.
