Newbie with 1.8T Quattro B6 mod questions...
I'm completely new to the Audi scene...actually the entire 4 cyl. turbo scene... I just sold my 2003 Cobra (heavily modded) and purchased a couple of new toys...the 2004 A4 being one of them...a bad a$$ one at that!! This car is a lot of fun! ...but...
Needless to say...I'ma little disappointed in the power this car has to offer. I've heard that they are easily modded and run pretty well, but being it's not a V8, I'm not sure where to even start. I've been doing a little researchbut it hasn't been very successful...so where better to turn than to the people that know how to make the best "bang for the buck" mods...the forums.
Anyway, if someone can help point me in the right direction and where to start, I would greatly appreciate it!!

RE: Newbie with 1.8T Quattro B6 mod questions...
[align=left]I have just purchased a used 2004 1.8T quattro and had the APR stage I+ modification to the chip and injectors changed....the care is now what it was intended to be...much more power and the same mileage. It drives as smoothly as stock and yet at 3000 rpm it has hop like the stock chip could never provide. The APR info says 235 hp and 275 torque....and I did not modify the exhaust as also recommended as that was another $1000. This cost $1000 for the chip/injectors and I would certainly recommend it to others. M

It's a turbo. Raise the boost and tune it properly, stock is like 8.7lbs and pathetic. Not nearly as fast as a Cobra dollar for dollar mod wise but then again its a 1.8ltr sports sedan.
