Newbie here.....
I'm the proud owner of a brand new 2006 A4 2.0 T, 6 sp auto.

Drove it home off the show room floor, parked in my garage, and the next morning the dealership had to haul her away because the electrical system was non-responsive. They said there is some computer upgrade it needs.

My questions are:
If they know that an upgrade is needed, why the hell don't they do it BEFORE the customer takes it home?
Does the upgrade work or do you always wonder if your car is going to run?

As you might expect, I'm slightly PO'd at this point.

 

that was probably and excuess that they made up. in otherwards they are probably trying to figure out wtf is wrong

 

they are trying to bend you over, tell them you want to know exactly what the problem is and in full detail.. could be a bad ECU or something..

 

Funny thing is, when the car got to the dealership, it FIRED RIGHT UP!

 

you have 72 hours to change your mind about the car...get anotherone and scream and bitch to high heaven until they give you one. Thats what Id do if I were you, especially for the price ofa new a4 these days[&:]

 

dude pitch a fit and throw brimstone and fire around until they give u a new one that wont destroy itself

 

typically cars that mess up that early will do so through out their existance. The odds are against that car...

 

I've read all about the problems of the 2.0T and never heard of this one.

 

Well, they couldn't find anything. There were no codes and they started it 30 times since yesterday.

I'm at a loss what to do. My wife wants to keep this car, so I guess we'll keep it.
