Newbie here. How do i remove the rear speakers from a 1996 A4? And a few more Questions on B5 A4s.
Hi guys,
This is my first post. I'm from Australia, I wonder how many Aussies are on here?, I have just bought a silver 1996 A4.
I've decided to install a new H/U and 4ch amp, with a mono-block for a sub. Everything is running well except that I have not been able to remove the rear speakers and their grills from the rear deck (or we call parcel shelf.) The speakers are Nokia brand. If anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.
Also, If anyone knows anything about MB Quartz speakers, I'd like to hear from you. I found aftermarket MB Quartz crossovers and front speakers in the doors and was told to leave them in the car.
On another note:
Has anyone had a problem with irratic idling, and occasional stalls? The dealer told me it was the sensors on the throttle body not reading correctly as their sensitivity declines with age.
I've also sensed a slight hesitation in acceleration around the 3,500-4000 rev mark where the motor slows a little, then it finds more power again and happily revs out to 6,000rpm. Is this common too?
The car has only done 123,000km in 10 years, and just had its major 120K service. Everything else is in great condition, well looked after. Thats why I jumped when i saw it!
Cheers, Sam
