Default Newbie Questions - Rear access panel, etc.

Hey All!

Just purchased a CPO 2007 Q7 (3.6L Premium). My first Audi, love the car, but a few questions:

1. The vehicle has 18k miles on it - rather low mileage for a 2007 (went into service 1/15/07). It was a lease vehicle; spotless and CPO. However my (somewhat paranoid) wife believes there must have been something wrong with it for such low mileage - I'm not worried as its CPO, but wondering if that is odd for a 3 year old vehicle, or low range of normal;

2. I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but for the life of me I can't seem to get the rear right access panel (cargo area, has the 12v plug in it) open - tried prying with a screw driver, etc. - I don't want to damage it, but did want to make sure I could open it as I assume the Nav DVD is there (along with fuses) - any suggestions on this?

3. The MMI Nav system seems rather primitive - you'd think if Garmin could make these for $100, Audi could step up! Anyway, wondering if the DVD is the primary way to update this, and whether the newer DVD's have more of the "yellow book" data - that is, hotels/restaurants/etc. Is there a way to search for a particular location (hotel, for example) by entering the first few letters of the name?

Anyway, I love the ride on this thing - very smooth and quiet, tight handling, and somewhat surprising for the size/weight of this vehicle, amazing amount of power.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/answers.

Steve

On my 07 Q7, the nav unit is in the rear lower compartment beside the spare tire.
