Default Newbie with many questions wheels/susp/mods...

Ok I just bought an 2001 a4 2.8 and was wondering what do to it. I was quite impressed with how it handles stock (it passed a modified integra up the hill and dropped a wrx down the other side). I really like how she pulls around tight corners. With that said here is what I noticed, the car felt loose overall if I did not have the foot to the floor board, the rear end gave a lot in the turns (stiffer sway bar?) I bottomed out the suspension on an uphill undulation. I was wondering what people would recommend for wheels/tires (17in or 18in, 225 or 235, 45 or 40) and suspension (lower or no lower and who/what thinking of eibach pro). I live where the roads don’t always have nice pavement and are often very tight (like switchback tight).

Thanks

Oh, I heard that a K&N filter should be avoided? What other performance items do people recommend that wont kill my car like a supper charger? Remember it is a 2.8 NOT the 1.8T.

and yea, suspension always a great thing for ur audi. Springs from H&R, Eibach, Neuspeed, etc.. are always good, wanna get some aftermarket shocks though depending on how low u go, you can look to bilstein or koni for those. You don't NEED sway bars, but they def will be an awesome addition to stiffen up that suspension. 18's are prob the best on a B5 i think, you can even go 19's, but 20 is pushin it. The PES supercharger wont kill ur engine, it comes with a new ecu with fuel mapping and all that to make ur engine run well with it. In my opinion the Remus exhaust is the best deal for the 2.8's. Take a look at the sticky "audi links" at the top of the page and look around. Welcome to the forum and have fun!

With the supercharger, I am not worried about the engine. I am more concerned about the clutch and transmission ( and maybe little of what I might do with it).
